Recent spending spree...

I am normally not one to go out and buy too much for myself.  If I am spending money, it is usually on beautiful gemstones or sterling silver findings.  I also have a hard time finding jeans that I like because I have to have them long.  I recently received a magazine from Eddie Bauer and as soon as I opened it up, I knew I was going to be buying some yummy clothing!  I hate ordering from magazines because I never know if it is going to fit me correctly or not.  I am leaving for Colorado in a couple weeks for a vacation to see my In-laws.  I was hoping to get some new clothes for that, so this was the perfect opportunity.

I picked out what I wanted, marked the sized I thought would work and set forth onto the computer to put my order in.  Once I get everything into the shopping cart, I see that half of the stuff I want won't be shipped until October or November! Grrrrrr.  I am leaving soon, I was hoping for this stuff soon!!

Then I remember we have an Eddie Bauer in Anchorage! =)  So, the next morning, I get myself and my child into the car and head out for the hour drive to Anchorage.  I was able to get quite a few things that I wanted in the magazine but not everything.  The one major purchase I wanted, however, was in shop!!

I just had to have this beautiful barley colored ruffle cardigan...
I also couldn't pass up this adorable flannel tunic, perfect for winter time here in Alaska...
I am so happy I actually went to the store! I would have bought jeans that were way too big for me.  =)

I just thought I would share my happy shopping experience!! Eddie Bauer will definitely get more money out of me in the future!! =)

My First Craft/Market Show

I had my first table ever where my jewelry was out on display for everyone to see! =)  I have to say at first, before I even went, I was nervous.  I want to do well with what I create and I want others to love my jewelry as much as I do.  My Mom's work decided to bring back "Alaska Agriculture Appreciation Day" to the community of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough (the Valley where I live).  It is a day that is held only once a year and it is to show appreciation for all of the farms out there.  They invited several different vendors to "Ag Day" and I was one of them.  My Mom put me on the list! =)

At first I was thinking she was crazy! No way will I have enough jewelry to show at something like this!  But as I thought it over,  I decided to just close up my Etsy shop for the day and to bring all my jewelry with me to showcase it.  A week before this day, I ended up staying up all hours of the night, creating as much jewelry as I possibly could.

"Ag Days" ended up being very rainy and wet, but it went pretty well for the first year to be open.  I had several sales and also several of my friends came to hang out with me, so that made it all perfect.
My jewelry table: simple, sweet and hopefully one day bigger with LOTS more Jewelry! =)
My boy (Tyler) and I, just after setting up my table. (I'm being kinda goofy!)
My pretty flowers I found at the local florist, I thought they were so pretty.
A close up of all my pretty jewelry!

I made several new pieces of jewelry for this show, and now that it is over, I have tons of photographing to do!! I wanted to show you a few of my new items that have just recently been posted...

Sweet Velvet Bliss

WOW!! I have been included in such a gorgeous treasury!  It is named appropriately as Sweet Velvet Bliss.
Thank you so much for including my Pink Topaz Earrings!! =)

New shop & new blog! =)

Hi! =)

I have some fun and exciting news to share!! I have recently made the decision to create a new Etsy shop.  It is something that I have thought about for a while now.  If you did a research on-line for Blue Moose Creations, you would not only find my shop, but you will also find another shop with the same name.  When I created me etsy shop name, I didn't do a research for any one else on-like with this name. I don't want to take someone else's name, and I also want to be known for my own as well.  I want to distinquish my self and be unique.  I decided to just use my own name.  My new shop name is ChalleneVi Designs and it is located at challenevi.etsy.com.  Challene is my first name and Vi (short for Viola) is my middle name.  I really hope that I made the right decision.  I have had quite a few sales that I am so very proud of and I have a bunch of feedback too.  I feel like I am starting all over again, but as I have been doing this, I feel as though I did the right thing.  It just feels right.

I hope that I am able to gain the same fans that I have had, as well as some new ones and that my journey on the road to finding my unique path is a fun one!  I want to be able to have my jewelry stand out and be something different and stunning and beautiful! Please wish me luck!!

Thank you!
